I was invited by the festival to their artist residence. I designed my studio in the festival center to an office looking like an administration room in a military barrack. At the moment the military is closing the barracks in Hildesheim. Many creative people from the university are using the left buildings now for their art and performance work. This circumstance stimulated my idea to work but a lecture about developments of the military in Hildesheim.

In the theatre I presented my ideas about the military future of this city. “Military should not close completely; soldiers can move to empty shop buildings in the pedestrian area”. I presented a fictive image how the military could work in the future, relating to the new threats of war and terror.

In my lecture I presented quotes from politicians about corporation between military and police. I read out newspaper articles where journalists wrote very proudly about the soldiers as good citizens of Hildesheim, I presented quotes from press releases from the ministry of defence and I showed the ongoing developments in the weapon industry.

For the project produced I video trailers, designed images, logo and stickers.
